Ancient gold in Staffordshire

The Leekfrith Iron Age torcs are a set of four gold items discovered in December 2016 in Staffordshire, England. They are believed to be the earliest Iron Age gold jewelry found in Britain, dating to about 400–250 BC.
The find was made on farmland in the parish of Leekfrith. The hoard contained four torcs – three necklaces and bracelet – which would only be worn by the elite.
The decoration on the bracelet is thought to be some of the earliest Celtic art from Britain.
This discovery was found 45 miles north of the famous Staffordshire Hoard.
